Mesh Glass

Mesh glass from KAPHS laminates real woven metal and metallised fabric between two panes, creating panels that pair the transparency of glazing with the texture and shimmer of metal. Specified across the UAE, GCC and wider Middle East, it suits partitions, balustrades, doors, facades, canopies, lift cladding and feature walls where designers want a decorative yet structural surface. Because the metal layer is fully encapsulated for safety, the panels stay clean, protected and almost maintenance-free, while light catches the weave to give a depth that shifts with the viewing angle.

Mesh glass ranges and applications

KAPHS offers four families to suit any scheme — LinearMesh, DecoMesh, CoreMesh and a metallised fabric option — ranging from crisp regular lines to richer ornamental weaves and bolder expanded patterns. Every mesh glass panel is built as a laminated safety unit, so it meets requirements for partitions, balustrades and overhead applications, and it can be toughened, curved or made with low-iron clarity for maximum brightness. Colour, weave, interlayer tone and overall size are all made to order, giving designers complete control of the finished look.

Each one is produced to project specification, and KAPHS provides physical samples, fixing details and installation support throughout. The result is a luminous, durable surface that brings privacy, pattern and a premium metallic character to interiors and building skins alike. Mesh Glass

Product Description

KAPHS Mesh Glass is a premium laminated glass solution that integrates high-performance mesh interlayers to deliver a unique combination of visual depth and contemporary design. Engineered for modern architecture, our mesh glass enhance transparency while introducing refined texture, light diffusion, and material character.

Our collection features a diverse range of metal mesh and metallized fabric interlayers, designed to meet both aesthetic and functional requirements across applications such as partitions, balustrades, façades, doors, and interior wall cladding.

Mesh glass is produced by laminating a layer of metal mesh or metallized fabric between two or more panes of glass, bonded under heat and pressure with a PVB or EVA interlayer. The mesh is permanently sealed and protected inside the panel, combining the clarity of glass with the texture and shimmer of woven metal in a single structural sheet.

Because it is a laminated safety glass, mesh glass holds together if broken — making it suitable for partitions, balustrades and overhead glazing. The interlayer also diffuses light and softens sightlines for privacy, dampens sound for quieter interiors, and resists moisture and corrosion, so a mesh glass panel performs as both a decorative feature and a functional building element.

Mesh & finish options: KAPHS mesh glass is available with a wide choice of interlayers — fine woven wire, cable-and-rod weaves, spiral and ring meshes, and metallized fabrics — in stainless steel, brass, bronze, copper and aluminium, in natural metallic, gold, champagne, black and custom powder-coated tones. Glass can be specified clear, low-iron (extra-clear), tinted or back-painted, and built up as laminated safety glass or insulated glazing units in thicknesses from roughly 8 mm to 40 mm+ to suit interiors through to exterior façades.

Mesh glass — frequently asked questions

What is mesh glass? Mesh glass is a laminated architectural glass with a layer of metal mesh or metallized fabric sealed between the glass plies, giving a decorative metallic texture with the safety of laminated glass.

How is mesh glass made? A mesh or fabric interlayer is placed between two panes of glass and bonded with a PVB/EVA interlayer under heat and pressure, permanently encapsulating the mesh.

Is mesh glass strong and safe? Yes — as a laminated safety glass it resists shattering and holds together if broken, so it suits partitions, balustrades and overhead glazing.

Where is mesh glass used? Partitions and room dividers, balustrades, doors, feature walls, ceilings, façades and lift-lobby cladding — anywhere a designer wants texture and privacy without losing light.

Mesh glass vs wired glass — what is the difference? Wired glass embeds a utilitarian safety wire in a single pane; mesh glass laminates a decorative metal mesh between panes for an architectural, design-led finish with full laminated-safety performance.

Applications

KAPHS Mesh Glass interlayers are designed for integration within laminated glass, combining safety, durability, and architectural design flexibility. By embedding metal mesh or metallized fabric within glass, these systems create layered transparency, texture, and visual depth across a wide range of applications.

Glass Partitions: Used in laminated glass partitions, mesh interlayers balance openness and privacy. Ideal for offices, hospitality, and interiors.

Balustrades & Railings: In laminated glass balustrades, mesh interlayers enhance safety while adding subtle or bold visual texture. Suitable for staircases, balconies, and atriums.

Doors & Enclosures: Applied in laminated glass doors and enclosures, these interlayers provide privacy, durability, and refined aesthetics without reducing light transmission.

Wall Cladding & Feature Panels: For glass wall cladding, mesh interlayers create depth and metallic texture within the glass, ideal for feature walls, lobbies, and branded spaces.

Façades & Exterior Glass: Integrated into laminated glass façades, metalized fabric mesh interlayers enhance light diffusion, solar control, and architectural identity, suitable for external use and heat resistant.
