DIFC Gate Mosque

The DIFC Gate Avenue Mosque in Dubai, designed by RMJM, bridges traditional Islamic architecture with a contemporary aesthetic. KAPHS supplied semi-transparent stainless steel architectural wire mesh from Haver & Boecker for its envelope.

The woven mesh façade acts as an elegant solar-shading layer, filtering harsh sunlight into the prayer hall while casting evolving shadows and reflections through the day, and balancing transparency with privacy for worshippers — all while withstanding Dubai’s climate.

Specified in stainless steel across a range of weaves, apertures and finishes, the mesh offers solar shading, fall protection and acoustic benefits while remaining largely transparent and virtually maintenance-free.
