Qatar National Convention Centre

The Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, designed by Arata Isozaki & Associates, is one of the region’s landmark cultural venues. KAPHS supplied bronze MULTI-BARRETTE 8123 architectural wire mesh from Haver & Boecker to clad the walls and ceilings of the Theatre Hall — some 6,000 m² of architectural mesh reading as a single, homogeneous bronze surface.

Engineered for the theatre’s acoustic requirements, the mesh was clear-varnish coated, edge-canted and glued into black-coated aluminium frames, remaining air-permeable and acoustically neutral while delivering a refined, luxurious finish.

Specified in stainless steel across a range of weaves, apertures and finishes, the mesh offers solar shading, fall protection and acoustic benefits while remaining largely transparent and virtually maintenance-free.
